Good Morning All:
Typing one handed. Went to ER yesterday after speaking to dr answering service yesterday.OMG weird people iun there. A couple sitting nest to us, mom, dad, baby mom & dad on their cell phones IPads neither one paying any attention to the baby in the baby seat. What is going on with this world that parents have absolutely no interaction with their baby that their techie crap is more important - yes the baby was awake and bright eyed a beautiful little one. I just wanted to pick her up and talk to her and coo with her....I don't get it
Back to my hand - it is infected. Have to take mega antibiotics. the hand is splinted has to remain immobile, tetanus shot arm is soooo sore. Have to get an appointment with the PCP and I'm out of wor****il Thursday unless PCP makes it longer. My co-worker told me I should take a vacation before my other position starts - didn't't want it this way. To top it all off the antibiotics cause diarrhea... Lots of fun here for me. Of course this is the first week that Gene has added Monday's to his practice days so he felt bad he had to leave me today...
Hope you all have a great day...

Hey what kind of car did you get? inquiring minds want to know ;) and I hope you don't need the tow service for a long time either. . . I have my tow service as a part of my car insurance. . .
Enjoy all your activities!

Good Morning Laureen and PA!
I am at work getting ready for a busy day! The weekend for me was also busy!! I got my car on Saturday. It is weird being in a sedan rather than an SUV, but it is MUCH better on gas than my SUV so there is a plus!! I also signed up for AAA, this accident taught me a good lesson about having a towing service!! I didn't have it on that day, but I do now! Having a preowned vehicle and not really knowing its history, I feel better knowing that I have the service IF I need it! I am hoping I don't for a long, long time!!
The next week is going to be go, go, go! Every night this week I have something going on. Either doctors appointments, or the ever popular GS cookie booths, getting together with friends, and activities....OY!!!!! I am grateful that I am able to do all this. Pre surgery I would have never been able to keep up this pace....
Have a GREAT week!!

Good Morning PA,
Hope everyone is up and at 'em and ready for whatever the day brings. . .
Reading Donna's post made me a bit jealous, as my weekend was go, go, go and today finds me wanting a do-over without all the go. . . it was what it was, one thing I did get to do was go to see Argo, it was a very well done movie and even knowing the outcome it still put me on edge of my seat, it was a good movie.
Today has me at work, I started the day short on sleep and so I expect when the day is done, I will go home, put my gym clothes on, pack my gym bag for the morning and climb in bed and be fast asleep by 8:30/9. So that covers it and I wish each and everyone reading this post a wonderful day!
Laureen
P.S. Ida, don't mess with that bite, serious infections can be had from an animal bite. . .hope you, Hider, Gene, EZ are all well
Donna, as a teacher, I'm sure you've touched many, as a friend I know you've touched my life.. .

Hello Donna and PA!
It is wonderful when you run into former students and they are doing well! I like to think that I had something to do with that!!! I am sure you did too!
Yesterday was a BUSY day! Did some things around the house in the morning, then went to pick up my car, put my stuff in said car and clean it up a bit. Then Dee had a youth group activity last night, so hubby and I had a nice dinner together. Then we went to the mall for a bit, then picked her up and came home. WHEW!! Today I am up bright and early to take her to Hebrew School, go to the supermarket to pick up a few things, then come home and prepare for the week ahead. I will get some relaxing in today as well!
Ida, I hope you feel better from your stomach bug and the cat bite! Take care of yourself!!
Have a GREAT weekend, what is left of it!!
Love, Beth

Hey there Donna;
Been a fairly lazy day here as well. After we went to CVS and Giant that is. Had to go to CVS to pick up some black salve ointment. Hider had a meltdown last night I went to pick her up she bit me and broke the skin. Cleaned it up last night, this morning work up with a sore hand, swollen, red, looks infected. So off to CVS for Black Salve to draw out the infection. Still not feeling 100% yet from that stomach virus from last week so with that still running around my system I'd imagine my germ fighting system is not up to par.
I did make crock pot pork tenderloin with slow cooked in mild salsa, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. The meat was soooo good I actually wanted some more - I'm full so no m

Good evening PA peeps!
Just spent a very relaxing day just snoozing and reading. Have plans to meet a former student for lunch tomorrow and then will be going to see "Les Miz" with my mom. One of the best things about teaching for me is seeing former students through the years. It is so neat to see the physical change (especially in the boys) and also to catch up on what they are doing in their lives. I had the gift of bumping into 4 of my former pupils this week and happy to say that they are doing very well. Never really thought about how many students' lives I have touched through the years. I hope and pray that most of our encounters were positive ones.
Whatever you are doing this weekend I hope that you all will be good to yourselves especially food wise. As always I thank God for the support that I receive on this board. Enjoy what's left of your weekend. Take care.
Donna
